unprecedented times call for personal unprecedented ventures

I never thought I would be this person. No, no — I never thought I could be this person.  This person who writes what’s running through their brain while sipping on a cup of coffee and then posting it somewhere on the internet. But alas, its March 31, 2020 and these are some strange days in our world. Days spent at home only going outside for occasional walks where you completely change your trajectory when you realize you’re about to come in a 6 foot window of another human. Days wondering if you’ll ever be able to share a meal with friends and family again. It all sounds so dramatic, but honestly we just don’t know what the coming weeks hold for us. 

So why am I writing this? A little back story— a few weeks ago I saw a random charge on our bank account so I asked my husband about it. He then informs me he purchased domains for us in hopes that one day our lives will be interesting enough to document on the internet. Meet the brain of my husband, Tyler. I laughed and rolled my eyes at the time, assured they would never be put to use. I’m certain he didn’t dream of our situation today when he used that word. However, I'm not writing this now because I feel like our life is now interesting. Given the circumstances we are all living an interesting life. Instead, this writing is for me; for me to get it all out. To remember the quiet moments I had with Jesus and what He is teaching me as I read through my Bible chronologically for the first time. To remember the thoughts that came through my mind when I had all the time in the world to just think. To remember the small victories and the little joys of each day. To remember the days when I'm helping a laboring mom bring life into this world at such a scary time, supporting her when her own family can't be at the hospital to support her themselves. To just remember. To reflect. Grow. That’s it. So if any human is reading this, you’re unexpected, but welcome.
